Victorian Party

Ok I know I haven't been doing very well on keeping up with my blog promise I will try to do better.

Anywho, I was sitting and thinking of "spring" parties and remebered the party a dear friend went to . It was a Victorian Theme Party and I must say I love the pictures. I really wish that I could have gone along with her. The costumes were great and they even had little sandwhiches and played games.

The colors used for this party were red, black, and white.

This is just an example of what you could do if you want to throw a themed party that your friends would remember.

Creativity is one of the main reasons I love party planning. It gives me an outlet, especially when a client gives you creative freedom. Last summer I was inspired by a picture of a floral dress on display at a bridal show. I carried the picture around with with for months before deciding to take on the challenge of trying to make one myself only I wanted on someones body.

After hours of work and starving because I was in a zone this is how the dress from the top of the page came out..I must say I was pretty proud of myself.

The final picture that I will use for an ad will be used on my new website http://www.flareofelegance.com/. Currently it is under construction but we have a launch date of 2/1/10..(this is goal #3), that is in two weeks, yikes, so check it out!

Do you have an event planned for THIS weekend? Well with the weather in most places having a chill factor of 10degrees or below a nice warm thought comes to mind..coffee. This is the time when a coffee bar would be a nice add to your event. It may be even a bigger hit if you add hot chocolate to that bar. So I went on a search and the look oh so good...

Welcome to 2010...new year another new blog

WELCOME TO MY NEW BLOG

Okay this is the first post of my first ever blog page. I'm really excited about this and hopefully I will be able to keep the promise I made myself to blog something at the very least 2 times a week.
This year I have set some goals, 10 to be exact, and I'm working hard to complete those goals. This blog was goal number two. My first goal for 2010 was to get my website up..well that will becoming soon so stay tuned... my second was my blog and my third was to join ISES. Two out of three is not so bad. I will share the other goals as I reach them..but I wanted to share the ones I've accomplished so far.

So on to the blog info..I expect this to be exciting and please feel free to share your opinions and things that inspire you. So let the blogging begin.
